Join representatives from the Public Services Health & Safety Association (PSHSA), Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of BC (NNPBC), and the BC Dental Hygienists’ Association (BCDHA) for a webinar on workplace violence prevention, de-escalation, and post-incident response in healthcare settings, with a focus on nurses, nurse practitioners, and dental hygienists in British Columbia.
Grounded in BC occupational health and safety requirements and trauma-informed, culturally safe practices, this webinar will explore factors that contribute to workplace violence, practical de-escalation techniques, personal safety considerations, organizational responsibilities, and reporting requirements.
Viewers will also learn about post-incident response strategies, including reporting, recovery, and available supports and resources. The webinar will include interactive polling and a moderated Q&A period. A recording of the session will be posted online after the event.
